Julita: A nightmare of circular entrapment

In this tabletop puppet piece the former Secretary of Education, Julia Keleher, has a nightmare in which she is a public school teacher. The piece highlights the demands of the teachers against the closure of public schools, privatization, overcrowding, and the attack on teachers’ pensions in Puerto Rico. Julia’s character, a victim of her own policies, seeks answers to her existential dilemma in the Department of Education, but there she finds that she is the cause of her own problems.
